INTERNATIONAL RESEARCHERS
The Faculty of Social Science welcomes international researchers who intend a teaching mobility at RUB within the framework of our ERASMUS partnerships.
The faculty welcomes the researchers from the partner universities and the universities without the partner status (a corresponding agreement has to be signed between the universities in this case).
The mobility period may last 2 days till 2 months and has to include 8 teaching hours per week at least (as lectures, block seminars etc.).
Following persons are eligible for funding:
- teaching staff officially employed at the RUB's partner university
- PhD students conducting teaching activities
- Research assistants
Funding
The funding includes 120 EUR per day until the 14th day of the mobility and 84 EUR per day for the days 15-60.
For the travel costs a flat-rate is calculated according to the distance:
<100 km - no payment
100 km – 499 km - 180 Euro
500 km – 1.999 km - 275 Euro
2.000 km – 2.999 km - 360 Euro
3.000 km – 3.999 km - 530 Euro
4.000 km – 7.999 km - 820 Euro
8.000 km and more - 1.100 Euro
Participants with disabilities and those who have children get additional funding.
Application and formalities
Prospective participants apply directly at the International Office of their Home institution with a "Mobility Agreement".
Our ERASMUS coordinator provides support in setting up the Mobility Agreement and organizing the mobility. Please apply early enough for us to be able to plan and announce your teaching activities (Please consider the academic calender of the University).
The Welcome Centre of RUB is a further point assisting the international researchers in a wide range of issues from residence formalities to getting used to the new environment.
